Governor Parson to visit Joplin/Webb City this week, first visit in six months

(Missouri) Governor Mike Parson will be visiting southwest Missouri later this week, including stops in Joplin and Webb City.

On Thursday morning, Parson will first speak at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives in Branson. AMEC is a statewide service organization for Missouri’s 47 electric cooperatives, organized in 1937.

The Governor will then travel to Joplin, making two stops. Parson will first appear at Crowder College’s Advanced Training Center located at 4200 Grand Ave, near downtown Joplin. That visit will be followed by an event at Joplin High School’s Franklin Technology Center at 12:50 pm.

The Governor is then scheduled to appear in Webb City at Eugene Field Elementary School, which was recently recognized as a Blue Ribbon school, at 2 pm. Parson’s last official visit to Joplin was in April. He was in town for the ribbon cutting at the Casey’s Distribution Center. For 89 9 KRPS, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro
