A hallmark of summer in southeast Kansas, the Pittsburg Festival of the Arts got underway last night at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.
The six-day festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary with its most diverse lineup of performers yet according to the Director and Creator of the event, Raul Munguia,
“We are very excited, the music department. We launched these performances ten years ago; this is my tenth year at the university. So I’m very proud of that.”
This year’s arts festival includes a performance by the barbershop quartet ‘Four Old Dudes’ at Signet Coffee Roasters in Pittsburg on Wednesday at 2 pm. And a screening of the movie ‘Charade’ inside of the Lee and Linda Scott performance hall at the Bicknell Center at PSU at 2 pm this Friday. All events are free and open to the public.
