With just over one week to go before Missouri residents vote in city and municipal elections, tomorrow, Joplin voters will have the opportunity to watch a live candidate forum. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

Missouri Southern’s public access television channel KGCS will host a live Joplin city council forum tomorrow night, directly from the council chambers. All eight candidates are expected to be in attendance.
There are five candidates for three general seats, including Doug Lawson, Josh DeTar, Brian Evans, Kate Spencer, and Jon Thomas Buck. Two candidates are running for the Zone 4 seat, Diane Reid Adams and Mark Farnham. While Gary Show is unopposed for reelection in Joplin’s Zone 1. Joplin residents vote in all races, regardless of which zone they reside in. KGCS General Manager, Bobbie Pottorff, will serve as moderator of the program.
The forum will be broadcast live tomorrow night at six on Channel 21, with replays throughout the week. KGCS will also share the discussion on its YouTube page. It will also be broadcast live on the city’s website at JoplinMo.org
