Later today, Missouri Governor Republican Mike Parson will deliver his 2022 State of the State address. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

Ahead of the address, Budget Director Dan Haug and the Office of Administration’s Division of Budget & Planning will give an overview of Governor Parson’s Fiscal Year 2023 General Revenue Budget and Governor Parson’s plan for American Rescue Plan Fiscal Recovery Funds. Following the speech on Thursday, Parson will travel to Hazelwood, MO and take part in a ribbon cutting ceremony for 8th Avenue Food & Provisions. Last year, the company relocated its manufacturing facility from Canada to Missouri.
Parson will then travel to Urbana on Friday to attend an assembly celebrating Skyline Middle School’s designation as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon and Missouri Gold Star School. Governor Parson’s State of the State will be broadcast live on public radio stations throughout Missouri starting at 3 this afternoon. For 89 9 KRPS, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro
