With daytime highs in the ‘40s and ‘50 this week, and lows in the ‘30s if you haven’t already turned on your heater or furnace you soon will. And with it, a possible phone call to a heating contractor or repairman. The Better Business Bureaus is reminding consumers that it’s very likely heating contractors are busy with the drop in temps lately resulting in an influx of requests, so be patient.

Also, before hiring, do some research on the company or individual licensing. In addition to comparing pricing and service packages between companies. And if the company or person doing the work offers a warranty. Finally, if you’re purchasing a new furnace, be sure to ask about energy efficiency, some models may be eligible for a tax credit. Check out the BBB’s Accredited Business Directory to read reviews and to request an estimate. For 89 9 KRPS, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro.
