Clear skies and nice today and tonight throughout Southeast Kansas, highs today in the mid ‘70s, lows in the lower ‘40s. Plenty of sunshine across the area Thursday and Friday, although a few degrees cooler each day. Highs tomorrow in the upper ‘60s, and into the lower ‘70s on Friday.
Lawmakers are looking into the state’s child support collection system after one mother says Kansas failed to help her collect $53,000 she was owed.
This time next year, the Oliva Apartments near downtown Joplin could have new residents. The 5-story building was constructed in 1906, and caught fire in early December last year, badly damaging the roof.
