Joplin Writers’ Faire Returns to Library

Attention All Southwest Missouri Writers ! A Writers’ Faire will take place tomorrow at the Joplin Public Library. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

After taking 2020 off due to the pandemic, Joplin Writers’ Faire is returning to the Joplin Public Library this year, in person. The event, which is open to the public, features 15 local and regional authors who specialize in a variety of genres and forms, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, investigative reporting, fantasy, local history, and children’s literature, among others.

Established in 2017, the Faire aims to connect all sorts of writers to their existing and potentially new audiences while encouraging community support. The Joplin Writers’ Faire is a collaboration between the Joplin Public Library and Post Art Library. The free event is taking place tomorrow from 10 until noon at the Joplin Public Library located at 1901 East 20th Street. For more information visit For 89 9 KRPS, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro
