Joplin’s Community Art’s agency, Connect 2 Culture announces their 2021-2022 Curtains Up lineup

Joplin’s Community Art’s agency, Connect 2 Culture announced their 2021-2022 Curtains Up lineup on Friday. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

Starting in November Connect 2 Culture will welcome a total of six performances in four different venues in Joplin. A pop culture phenomenon returns to the musical stage, School House Live will be the initial performance of the 2021-2022 Curtains Up series. Two performances will take place on Saturday, November 20 at Joplin High Schools Performing Arts Center.

Three weeks later, on Saturday, December 11, enjoy a fusion of classical and contemporary music on both traditional and electric strings, all performed by an international music sensation, the Dallas String Quartet will perform at the Ozark Christan College Chapel. Season tickets for the Curtains Up series are on sale now. Individual ticket sales begin Friday, October 8.

It’s an exciting time for Connect 2 Culture. C2C and the Spiva Center for the Arts are expecting to move into their new home, The Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Center in downtown Joplin by the end of 2022. For 89 9 KRPS, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro
