Pittsburg State in Kansas will spend potentially millions of dollars on generous COVID-19 vaccine incentives unveiled Monday. Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

President Steve Scott says it’s critical the school use the vaccine to stop COVID from spreading. The university will offer employees a $1,000 incentive to get vaccinated. The program is retroactive for workers who already received the vaccine. Pittsburg State is estimated to have up to 1000 qualifying employees. The school is also offering its more than 6000 students a $500 scholarship for getting vaccinated and entry into a raffle to win $8500. Federal funding will pay for the incentives.
