The company has an estimated 150 million subscribers to Amazon prime and over 300 million active accounts globally. There is a good chance that you have one, and scammers are using that to their advantage. Recently I spoke with Stephanie Garland of the Better Business Bureau in Springfield, Missouri who has the story of a person who doesn’t have an account with Amazon and how that played into their favor.
