The start of M I Double A football season is just 5 weeks away. The conference held its 2021 Football media day on Tuesday for players and coaches to speak about the upcoming season. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

The media day, held in Kansas City was both an in-person and virtual event, with reporters on-site to ask questions, and a live stream was provided on the M I Double A’s website and questions could be submitted on Twitter.

2nd year Pittsburg State head Football Coach Brian Wright says he and his team are ready to live up to the high expectation of PSU fans. “We feel that on a daily basis. We absolutely do. That’s why I chose to come to Pittsburg state. Because of those expectations, because of that tradition and that history”. The 2021 MIAA Football Preseason Coaches Poll released Tuesday has the Gorillas finishing 7th in the conference. PSU kicks off their regular season on the road in Warrensburg against Central Missouri on Thursday, September 2.
