Starting next week, the Missouri Department of Workforce Development along with the city of Springfield will have a podcast, focusing workforce development. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

The podcast, ‘Workforce Vibe’ and it will explore topics related to Workforce Development, economic vitality and quality of place. It will be hosted by Sally Payne, Interim Director of Workforce Development for the City of Springfield. Community leaders will join Sally each episode to discuss what factors play into recruiting and retaining talent in the Springfield area and throughout Missouri. The first two episodes will feature guests Cora Scott and Tim Rosenbury from the City of Springfield and Francine Pratt from Prosper Springfield.

Payne said in a press release, “Each podcast will feature guests who bring a unique perspective and can offer valuable insight into how to make Springfield a great place to live and work”.
