The Joplin Health Department is visiting three locations throughout the city in order to get more people vaccinated against Covid 19. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

The first clinic will take place starting at 9 this morning until 1 this afternoon at the Senior Center in Joplin, located at 2616 South Picher Avenue. The 2nd is scheduled to take happen at the Joplin Health Department at 321 East 4th St next Wednesday from 9 until 11:30, and 1:30 pm until 4. You can also receive the vaccine Saturday June 12 at Joplin Public Library from 11 am until 3 pm.

All three clinics are open to all who are 18-years-old and over, regardless of city or state residency and no appointment is necessary. Both first and second-dose vaccines of the Moderna vaccines will be administered at each of the three clinics. Citizens should bring a photo identification, and if they are seeking a second dose, they also need to bring their vaccination card. There is no cost associated with these vaccines.
