A large storm will make its way through the Four States today, and flooding will be a significant concern. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

Modeling from the National Weather Service shows that today’s storm will bring Southeast Kansas between 1 ½ inch and 3 inches of rain.
The NWS’s Doug Kramer in Springfield, Missouri, says central and southwest parts of Missouri will receive more rain. “There’s going to be some areas across southern Missouri that receive may be up to four inches of rain. And some of our modelings is showing some very sharp rises in some of our streams across southern Missouri. So flooding is definitely going to be the number one concern.” There is also a possibility of quarter-sized hail with today’s storm. This weekend, sunny and humid conditions will return to the area, with highs in the lower-’80s.
