The decline of the number of new Covid 19 cases in the past two-week is over. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.
Right now, it’s difficult to determine how many fewer Missouri residents are not being vaccinated due to the CDC/FDA and the Missouri Department of Health earlier this week pulling the Johnson and Johnson one shot Covid vaccine from being used. In previous weeks in Joplin, there was a constant decline in the number of new cases. But according to the latest data from AllThingsMissouri.org, those numbers are now flat. Joplin is averaging about four new cases per day, with a high of 11 new cases one day this week. Statewide, there is over a 13% increase in the number of new Covid cases and ten deaths due to the disease in the last seven days. Nearly 33% of Missourians have received one Covid vaccine shot, with 21.8% completing their inoculations. For KRPS, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro in Webb City
