Municipal elections take place today throughout Missouri. KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro has more.

There are races for health board, mayor, alderman, fire protection, ambulance district, and more across Southwest Missouri. Elections include school board races in Webb City and Joplin. In Cardinal country, newcomers Dr. Gretchen Shull and Grant Collings are on the ballot against incumbents Jason Woodmansee and Lisa Robinson. Meanwhile, in Joplin, it’s a three-person race for two seats between Rylee Hartwell, John Hird, and Josh Bard.
While in Neosho, there are four races, with Ashton Robinson running unopposed in Ward 1. In Ward 2, Clyde Hopper is taking on Richard Davidson. Jula Humphrey is opposing Jon Stephens in Ward 3. And three candidates are seeking one at-large seat on the Neosho City Council. Charles Collinsworth, Kathi Pellegrin, and Mitch Jarvis. Polling place hours are from 6 am until 7 pm.
