Missouri Southern State University in Joplin announced their new head football coach on Wednesday afternoon. Atiba Bradley became the institution’s 14th football coach since the Southern was founded in 1937 and the school’s first African-American head coach in any position. M S S U President, Dr. Dean Van Galen. “It was very clear to everyone who interacted with Atiba during the interview process that his goal was not about being a head coach somewhere; it was about coaching and leading Lion football at Missouri Southern State University. “Bradley will have his work cut out for him against a very competitive M I Double-A; historically, the Lions have a losing record against every team in the conference dating back to 1968. And last won a conference title in 1993.
