The number of COVID-19 throughout Jasper county appears to be on the rise. According to the latest data available, on Sunday, the county averaged 58 new days per day. That’s down from 68 new cases per day six weeks ago. However, Jasper has experienced an over 111 percent increase in the number of cases in the past 14-days. The majority of COVID-19 cases in Jasper County have been residents between the ages of 30 and 39, 1,258 cases.
In contrast, the vast majority of cases in Joplin are residents between the ages of 20 and 29. Webb City has the most cases in Jasper County outside of Joplin, with 1,537. In total, Jasper county has had 7,112 total cases, with 6,719 inactive cases. As of Monday, the county reported 291 active cases and 102 COVID-1 related deaths.
