With Christmas now less than a week away, and millions of American shoppers are still shopping, hoping to find the perfect gift and have it delivered before the big day. The Better Business Bureau continues to warn about online scams and fake websites that appear to be authentic. Denise Groene of the Better Business Bureau, “With the current boom in online ordering, and delivering, crooks are coming out with different tricks to try and take advantage of consumers, so that could be anything from fake delivery failure notices that you may receive via email, fake tracking information, as well as the porch pirates.” The Better Business Bureau also cautions you to be protective of packages that are delivered to your home, so that they aren’t stolen.
