A rural Kansas hospital once run by a North Kansas City company was sold at a bankruptcy auction last week. As KCUR’s Dan Margolies explains, the sale won’t be final until it’s approved by the bankruptcy court.

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said Monday  that he will not run for the U.S. Senate. As Stephen Koranda of the Kansas News Service reports, Schmidt had been considering a race to replace retiring Senator Pat Roberts.

Missouri’s medical marijuana program has officially awarded the first group of facility licenses.

Missouri House Republican leaders say they are unlikely to approve any new gun restrictions in 2020. As St. Louis Public Radio’s Julie O’Donoghue reports, they are even pushing back against gun restrictions endorsed by Republican Governor Mike Parson.
