Kansas schools have hired more counselors and social workers. As Stephan Bisaha of the Kansas News Service reports, educators say they need more of those mental health workers to cut down on bullying.

Missouri’s education department has a proposal to increase teacher pay. It’ll cost 400-million dollars. St. Louis Public Radio’s Ryan Delaney reports.

The Kansas City Chiefs gave quarterback Drew Lock … of Lee’s Summit … his first NFL loss in just his third start for the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs handled the Broncos in the snow at Arrowhead, 23-3. Greg Echlin has more.

The U.S. House is poised to impeach President Donald Trump in the coming days. But as St. Louis Public Radio’s Jason Rosenbaum reports, Missouri’s senior senator does not expect his colleagues to follow suit.
