People in Kansas reported more incidents of domestic violence, stalking and rape to the police last year. But, as Nomin Ujiyediin  of the Kansas News Service reports, that doesn’t necessarily mean those crimes are more common.

Turnout from Tuesday’s elections in Kansas hasn’t been finalized, but the Secretary of State’s office says unofficial tallies put it at about 18 percent.

Democrats have captured a west St. Louis County Missouri House seat that’s been in Republican hands for years. St. Louis Public Radio’s Jason Rosenbaum has more on Trish Gunby’s victory in the 99th District
