A second legislative committee is recommending Kansas lawmakers amend the constitution after a court said it guarantees a right to abortion. But as Stephen Koranda of the Kansas News Service reports, there isn’t an agreement among abortion opponents on what a proposed constitutional amendment would say.

Ohio could be a model for a medical marijuana program in Kansas when lawmakers return to Topeka in January.

Planned Parenthood’s medical officer testified at a hearing on Wednesday that abortion is safe at its St. Louis clinic.
