The U-S Army Corps of Engineers has received permission to begin releasing extra water from reservoirs in the Kansas River Basin. Brian Grimmett of the Kansas News Service explains why.

About a dozen law enforcement departments in Kansas have partnered with Ring. That’s the security camera company owned by Amazon.  Police in cities that partner with Amazon can ask users to share videos of their doorsteps to help prevent crime.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson met with Missouri clergy leaders Thursday in St. Louis to find ways to address gun violence in the state. Roughly a dozen children have been killed in St. Louis this year alone. Parson says the only way to find a solution to gun violence is by working with the federal, state and local levels.
