Kansas continues to be a national leader in new wind-power developments. But as Brian Grimmett of the Kansas News Service reports, the state is falling behind when it comes to other renewable energy opportunities.

This week, Kansas lawmakers are reviewing plans from one of the state’s three KanCare contractors, Aetna after the company has struggled to meet state guidelines.

A federal judge said he will rule later today on whether to block Missouri’s law banning abortions after eight weeks of pregnancy. KCUR’s Dan Margolies reports.

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley says rural Missouri residents want more jobs and more help combating drugs.
