The TED Radio Hour heard Saturday mornings at 11 am on 89.9 KRPS is one of NPR’s most popular shows heard by millions of listeners nationwide every week. Spurred by the popularity of TED events TEDX talks have become a popular way to let every day people share their ‘ideas with spreading’. TEDX events are locally organized, non-commercial, non-political and non-religious. They are held as a way to spark conversation and create connections across the community.
This week on ‘The Crimson And Gold Connection’ we hear from two of the organizers of Pitt State’s TEDX this year, Director of Community Engagement at Pittsburg State University Sydney Anselmi and Student Government Vice President, Cal Siebenmark.
This is the 2nd TEDX at Pitt State after hosting a sold out event in 2018. It’s being held in the Bill and Dotty Theater at the Bicknell Family Center For The Arts on March, 26, 2019. Applications are due Thursday, February 6.
