This time next year construction is expected to be underway on the Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex in what is now the parking lot of Memorial Auditorium in downtown Joplin. The project is a joint effort between Spiva Center For the Arts and Connect 2 Culture. The price tag for the center is estimated to be between $14 and $16 million, of which about $12 million dollars has been raised. On Monday morning I spoke with Community Arts Director for Connect 2 Culture, Emily Frankoski to talk about the project. I first asked where the funding for the project was coming from and how the capital campaign was going?
