Taking place on Tuesday November 13 at 7 p.m. is the Annual Gene DeGruson Memorial Lecture. This week on the Crimson and Gold Connection I’m joined by Pittsburg State Curator of Special Collections and Archivist at the Axe Library Steve Cox and PSU Professor of Art and a writer, S. Portico Bowman. The annual lecture is just one of the events that special guests Merilyn Simonds and Wayne Grady will be speaking at on Monday November 12 and Tuesday November 13.
Steve Cox talked about Gene DeGruson’s roots in Southeast Kansas and both his legacy and impact that he still has today at Pittsburg State. S. Portico Bowman speaks about authors Merilyn Simonds and Wayne Grady, and about Simonds book “Gutenberg’s Fingerprints” which she will be speaking about on Tuesday November 13.
