‘Crimson And Gold Connection’ – Russian Renaissance

As a part of Pittsburg State Universities Department of Music 2018-2019 Chamber & Solo Music Festival the acclaimed 4-member group, Russian Renaissance is performing Friday, October 5 at the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall. Ivan Kuznetsov plays the balalaika in Russian Renaissance which won the $100,000 dollar prize at the 2017 M-Prize Competition, at the University of Michigan. Crimson host, Fred Fletcher-Fierro contacted Ivan on his cell phone in Russia via Google Voice. The 28-year old spoke about performing what the group call, ‘world music with a Russian soul’ for audiences around the world.
