For two quarters last Saturday night at Fred Hughes Stadium it appeared that the Missouri Southern Lions were on their way to possibly halting the teams 15-game losing streak. But then the second half started the Lions were held scoreless, while Lindenwood University would go on to score 31-points and earn a 51-13 victory. Adam Burns of the Joplin Globe was at the game and he was also partially convinced that Southern could pull it out. Adam looks back on a close, 51-13 loss for Missouri Southern and ahead to this Saturdays road match-up against one of the top football teams in all of Division-2, the #4 ranked Northwest Missouri State Bear Cats.
