District 3 Representative Monica Murnan says that she initially ran for the Kansas House two years ago because she felt the state was in a dire circumstance, near bankruptcy and did not resemble the state she remembers growing up in. Murnan says that while Kansas has made great strides since rolling-back the so-called ‘Brownback Tax Experiment’ there are still important topics such establishing a structured state budget, stabilizing both K-12 and Higher Ed funding and increasing access to healthcare.
