Recently a special exhibit opened at the Spiva Art Gallery located at Missouri Southern State University. ‘KLOES’ by photographer Tarrah Krajnak chronicles the story of the KIDDIE KLOES factory where her Grandfather worked from when he was 17-years old until his death at the age of 75. The factory is located in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. Coaldale is also where Tarrah spent summers along with her siblings when visiting her Grandparents. Similar to many cities throughout the Midwest, Coaldale is a former mining and factory town that has been its population decline as people move closer to urban centers.
The exhibit is open to the public Monday thru Thursday from 9 until 5 PM. It’s located on the 3rd floor of the Fine Arts Building at MSSU. It runs through Thursday, July 19.
