Kansas lawmakers will inject money into state services, pensions and higher education with a new spending plan. State lawmakers in Kansas and Oklahoma have approved legislation to grant legal protections to faith-based adoption agencies that cite their religious beliefs for not placing children in LGBT homes. For the first time ever, the Missouri legislature has called itself into a special session, during which they’ll consider whether to impeach governor Eric Greitens.
